Hi guys, I have a slight issue with my audio on my laptop Dell XPS L501X, it wont play any sound at all. Driver qualcomm atheros ar8171 pci-e gigabit ethernet controller. No matter where it comes from, youtube, media player, web page. When i try to play some music with the Windows media player i get this message: 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.' I tryied system restoring to an earlier stage before this issue.

It dident worked for some reason. I had the PC Check Up with 'My Dell' program from the Dell website and when i scaned for hardware performace everything checked out fine. The other audio/video programs wont play sound either. No sound on system startup either!
Any suggestions?
